Who is Dr. Tom Dreyer?

Dr. Tom Dreyer’s distinguished career of 20+ years has been defined by a commitment to excellence and a dedication to empowering leaders globally. From humble beginnings in South Africa to becoming a respected leadership authority, his story reflects immense passion and determination for transformative change.

At 14, living independently, Tom managed school, work, and entrepreneurial endeavors, cultivating a robust work ethic and commitment to personal growth. His professional path began at SASOL, where he advanced from being an operator to becoming the principal of learning and development.

In 2014, a relocation to Abu Dhabi marked a significant expansion in his global influence. At ADNOC and beyond, he led the design, development, and deployment of award-winning leadership programs in partnership with prestigious institutions such as Harvard, London Business School, Franklin Covey, and many more. He has developed over 4000 leaders from 119 nationalities, serving as program director and subject matter expert.

Tom holds a master’s degree in human resources management and a doctorate in talent development, with his academic endeavors rooted in neuroscience, enhancing his leadership development approach.

Recognized with numerous accolades, including a PRISM award and a CIPD award for Best Learning & Development Program, Tom is also a credentialed coach with the International Coaching Federation and a member of the British Psychology Society.

Beyond the corporate setting, Tom contributes to academia as a university faculty lecturer, moderator, and board member. His interests include scuba diving, exploring new cultures and human behaviors through travel, reading, delivering key notes, and coaching that reflects his lifelong learning philosophy.

At home, Tom cherishes time with his loving wife and two boys. He serves as a philanthropist by giving back to youth in need, believing that today’s children are tomorrow’s leaders.
